Steamed Kelp Saury Kimchi
[Ingredient] 100g kelp for wrapping(ssam), 1 can canned saury, 200g old kimchi, 1/2 onion, 1 each red pepper and green pepper, 1 string onion, 1 cup water
[Sauce] 1 tsp red pepper powder, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp rice wine, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp soybean paste sauce, 1 tsp oligosaccharide
- Put canned calamari in colander and remove the grease by pouring hot water on it.
- Cut trimmed kelp in a long size, remove sauce of kimchi and tear it lengthy then roll kimchi and kelp around calamari.
- Put some kimchi and kelp in the bottom of pot and put sliced onion on them. Then place calamari not to lose it’s shape on them, put sauce on calamari kimchi ,pour a cup of water in pot and boil them in high heat.
- When soup boils first, open the lid, pour soup over the calamari, close the lid again, put string onion and pepper and then boil again in low heat until the soup becomes sticky.
