Our town of Wando has 50 times higher oxygen negative ions than large cities, and splendour in each and every corner including 265 beautiful islands floating on blue ocean, Cheonghaejin Jang Bogo, the driving force of winning naval battle at Noryang in Gogeumdo by Yi Sunsin, Gosan Yun Sundo's Bogildo, slow city Cheongsando and Sinji Myeongsasimni Beach.
Waters of Wando surrounded by elvan rocks, saltpeter and marine forest boasts cleanest water in Korea and is resided by the most number of species. In particular, fisheries goods from Wando including abalone, flatfish, kelp, sea mustard, fusiformes and seaweed fulvescens offer the best taste and quality recognized by all people of Korea.
By utilizing these specialized resources and potentials, we will create 'hopeful Wando where everyone is happy.'
