It will be developed into the center of marine industry by building expressways to improve accessibility to prepared tourist attraction with traditional culture of islands, clean waters and beautiful natural environment, expanding and paving national highways, constructing new bridges and discovering and restoring historical sites.
Strategy
Due to the regional characteristics, Wando has advantages in investment in port, resort, leisure and tourism facilities than any other regions. Wando port was designated as an international port in 1992, and since then, ships of 50,000 tons are entering and departing freely. Also, as the center of leisure and resort in archipelago marine national park, there are cobalt colored waters and beautiful beach fishing sites on each and every 200 islands. It is a beautiful and generous land with the culture and history of island.
Wando-gun is where modern and the past coexist. It is the optimum site for investing in development of leisure yachts, golf and leisure forest, seawater hot pools, pensions and marine leisure towns and a valuable land saved for investors.
