Domestic Seaweed Production Trend
- In 2010-2014, the production volume of marine fish farm including seaweed gradually increased. Compared to 2013, in 2014, the production increased by 3.4% and the production amount increased by 13%.
- As of 2014, among the marine fish farm production volume, laver (33%) has the highest volume among seaweeds, followed by kelp (34%) and sea mustard (26%).
- In 2014, the export volume and price of laver were 15,908 tons and approximately USD 250 million respectively. The export volume and export price increased by two fold and seven fold respectively compared to 2000.
